This 3D printed planter starts with a 3D model of a regular dodecahedron - a rather pleasing 12 sided shape. The top half of the dodecahedron is removed from the model to make room for a plant. We add three holes in the bottom for drainage and a small plate to catch any excess water. Hours later the 3D print is complete, and we have the Pointy Doda planter! You can actually see each tiny layer that the printer created one by one to build the planter from scratch. This planter is printed in a black PLA recycled plastic. Other colors may be available by special request.
Use it with the drainage holes at the bottom for a plant requiring soil, or turn the planter on its side to use it for an air plant! Either way it fits perfectly on the small plate.
This small size is appropriate for a small plant or a cactus. The bottom of the planter is 3 inches across. The overflow plate is 4 inches across.
